Default 16-0 would set up early 2008 with another record assumed impossible to beat

No one thought an NFL team in the Salary Cap era could win 21 in a row - The Patriots did it in 2004 and no one thought it would ever be done again..

Can you imagine if this team wins the final 2 games to go 16-0 and we win the first 3 games of 2008 it would break the teams 21 game win streak record?

The final 3 regular season games of 2006 add to the total of 22 by the end of week 3 in 2008

So going to 16-0 adds even more importance to the dynasty and history of this team,It keep the possibility alive in early 2008 of doing something unimaginable....again

Although the team probably will be a total different look by then.

We have a QB who's authored one 18-game regular season winning streak (21-game overall including playoffs) and is in the midst of a separate 17-game (and counting) streak.

No, he's not the best in the game.

If I am correct it was '21 regular season wins' for the record - and that is not with the playoffs in 2003 included correct?

I am too lazy to look it up but I think the 21 game win streak did not count the playoffs - Is this right?

I'm pretty sure it was 21 overall, 18 regular season, but at that point, does it really matter?

No, it's 21 consecutive (including playoffs), 18 regular season wins in a row.

I want to go undefeated this year AND next year. All we need is to stay healthy, keep the players we have (extend Moss and Asante), and bring in/draft middle linebacking help, perhaps a safety as well.

When we go 38-0 Mercury Morris will be in his refrigerator box looking up at our new high rise wondering how we can get into our neighborhood.
