The "We Survived The Snow, Sleet, Rain, Ice and Wind Bowl"...
brrrrr......just got back home....soggy, frozen, aching and drained.
what a day....Maroney showed his worth today.I'm surprised there weren't dozens of fumbles. I have no idea what the topics were today on these threads but THAT was a very GOOD win by a very well coached, veteran team.
Coffee, soup and couch time. Any of the other psychopaths who braved today's weather, please check in....how about those nitwits throwing ice balls??....pi$$ed me off to the max.

It sounds brutal. Joker, how bad was the wind? What else can you tell those of us who watched it on our couch (with a cranky, screaming one year old, so it wasn't all roses and hot chocolate).

I called it the "HypoThermia Bowl".
had to be more than a few in stage 1 htpo today ... easily.
Cold is one thing but cold rain is the worst of them all. It lowers your body temperature quickly and all your muscles go below 100% as the brain reduces the oxygen to them and saves it for itself.

Congrats on surviving Joker!!! I give you props....that looked like ONE TOUGH game to sit through weather wise.........Maroney and the OL run blocking were great today.......defense was great as well from all reports........And yes........those throwing snowballs should be ashamed.....they were lucky not to have caused a penalty on behalf of the Pats.....(I was at Gillette one game......and a penalty was assessed ....(forget who they were playing) )

Those clowns weren't throwing snowballs, they were throwing ICE balls...security is pretty dyam good at the Razor...they can zero in on individual seats and remove the d!ckheads.

Re: The "We Survived The Snow, Sleet, Rain, Ice and Wind Bowl"..
Just got back myself. My 6 year old had the time of his life throwing the snow in the air. Did they show the full sized rat on TV in the Curtis Martin shirt ? He was sitting in 133 and even though he was a Pat fan making a joke he was pelted repeatedly. Some of the Jets coaches and players in front of us got drilled too. The security were zeroing in on them and taking them out. The biggest negative is the MBTA. The Patriots train sucks. It was a mob scene in South Station. Instead of selling tickets on board they were trying to make everyone buy tickets from one booth. I kid you not the line went all the way around South Station from one side to the other. They finally realized they would be an hour selling tickets and 11 o'clock was approaching so they told everyone to board the train. It turned into a stampede to the trains. I was literally dragging my son to keep from getting trampled. The train was so packed they never stopped at Back Bay ,Dedham or Norwood. I understand a second train did pick them up but they must have been late to the game. It's not like this storm snuck up on them. They were totally unprepared. After the game instead of leaving 1/2 hour after the game ended they sat there over an hour. People were getting testy and I almost saw a couple of fights over people not sliding in to let others sit down. Funniest sight was some clown in a Bruschi shirt trying to circumvent the path from the train to Gillette through the woods and falling and getting scratched in briars as "BROO-SKI !"chants were shouted at him. It's been a long day but a memorable one.

I was there too. Me, my GF and her brother. Her other brother and dad couldn't make this one. Me and the GF sit 2 rows from the top but figured we'd sit with her brother since the other 2 seats were empty. Thing is, they sit 6 rows in front of us right under the light. The rain and ice coming off them was crazy so we went up to our seats.
Tailgating wasn't bad. Had the tent and heater. Did pancakes and sausage. The tent did try to take off once, but we secured it better and were all set.
Wasn't that cold until the rain stopped and it was just mist and rain. I don't know what it is about friggin hand warmers though. Opened them in the lot and put them in my pockets. I felt them burning a hole in my pocket just about the time we were walking down the ramps after the game.
One thing that sucked was the stairs. They weren't shoveled. I understand that they had to do the ramps and walkways though. The only reason it stunk for me is I have really bad osteoarthritis in my hips, so my legs don't move that well (and I'm only 37 WTF!). I was ready to sit on the stairs and slide down on my butt. I ended up holding onto the railing for dear life and walking down backwards.
Was a great time as always though! Bring on Miami!!! I heard there's a chance of a storm Friday night though. Maybe next week I WILL slide down the stairs.
