Default Felger Still Doesn't Have It Straight!

FYI: Felger just stated on Patriots Game Day that BB was arrogant to put his cameraman on the Jets sideline just 3 days after the league memo came out. He still does not realize that the Anderson memo came out in 2006, not 2007.

As correctly reported by Mike Reiss several times:

In a memo to NFL head coaches and general managers on Sept. 6, 2006, NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson wrote: "Videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."

Michael, the league didn't enforce that memo FOR AN ENTIRE SEASON!!!

What a tool!!

I guarantee he knows it came out in 2006. I've emailed him the info at least 3 times.

Felger DOES know the truth. He is lying to manipulate public opinion and fit his agenda. If an informed person ever calls him on it, he can claim "confusion", and use his favorite mantra "It's just sports! Who cares?". This lie was started by ESPN and spread throughout the country and has yet to be corrected.

The Memo was reissued 3 days before this season also.

Nope. That was misinformation.

This is just wrong. Please stop repeating it. The league sent out memos before BOTH the 2006 and 2007 seasons. (Admittedly it wasn't three days before the start of THIS season, but you're calling a guy on misinformation by providing additional misinformation)

You're wrong. The official NFL statement regarding the Pats punishment indicated only Sept 6 2006. The presumption of 2007 was advanced in order to make the Pats look worse. I guess you bought it.

Someone needs to prove which one it is.

If you're correct, then this thread stays. If you're not, then this thread is trashed.

I'll give a few hours.

Hold on! Just got back. I'm looking. It's in Roger Goodell's complete official statement on the punishment. The problem is, the article first appeared on Patriots.com, but now is absent from the archives. The NFL.com archives are a labyrinth, an example of poor work, and the AP copy referencing the NFL press release only excerpts from that statement, and does not include the relevant portion. For whatever reason, that statement has been virtually buried. So give me some time.
