What in that article is anything that the defense doesn't already know?

They are playing poorly right now. Very poorly in some metrics, and only mediocre in others. They know it. Hell, that article is half quotes from Arrington about how the defense is trying to improve.

Ah, yes, the lovely New York Post. If ever there was a perfect newspaper for the the mentality of the Jests and their fans, it would be that one. They make the Herald look like The Journal of World Opinion.

But I would like to point out that as stupid as the article was it was even dumber to say they are trending downward. Cleary the arrow points the other way.

Rather amusing how the writer tacked on the phrase "alleged defensive genius" to Bill Belichick's name.

All I needed to know in order to judge the merit of the article was contained in that syntax right there. Seriously, I thought I was perusing a run-of-the-mill hack piece published in the 'Enquirer' or something.

HEY BRO! WHAT UP?

I would take this defense over last year's "5th ranked defense" any day of the week.

However, nobody should be shocked that this defense is last in the rankings considering they don't have a lot of talent on that side of the ball.

Nothing like some objective reporting and analysis. Perhaps there's a correlation between the way sports are reported there, and the percentage of their fans that would rather talk smack than attempt to have an intelligent discussion about football.
