Yeah................ at the end, they essentually dropped all pretense of objectivity and just were openly rooting for the Ravens.

I don't understand why ESPN rooting for the Ravens is such a bad thing. 90% of their audience was doing the same. It just makes the Pats look even greater for pulling this one out.

Every single ESPN analyst picked the Pats in a gimme. Even Jaws said the Ravens only had a 1% chance of winning. Keyshawn said it was the best team of his lifetime. Parcells said if they went 16-0, he would rank them above the 85 Bears so he was holding out his judgement. Sounds like they all admit the Patriots are great they just want to see an upset - kind of like I do when I am watching every other game that doesn't involve a team from Boston.

I'm fine with Griese, but Morris is killing me. Nothing would please me more than to see Morris suit up and get on the field. The old man talks a big story and it only reflects how sorry his life most be and how important that perfect season is to him. He had his time in the sun and he is a horribly angry person when it comes to anyone getting some of that sunshine.

What was his quote.....

"there is alway room for more at the top"..... "every husband needs a wife."

That's fine but they are the announcers, they shouldn't be giggling like giddy school girls when the Ravens get a good kick return while leading.

"90% of their audience was doing the same"

I'm listening to Fow radio, and ESPN while I read the board here. The pure HATE of the callers to theres show is off the charts.Someone will call up an say "I HATE the Patriots! why? I don't know they just keep winning ..they get all the calls " What call are you referring to" caller I don't know all of them" "The pats are the golden boys of the NFL they get all the calls I hate them" typical national caller. Its about 10-1 for HATE the Pats. Only one caller stuck up for us he was fron Boston he said " I hear all this hate towards the Patriots, DEAL WITH IT". I say well said, and embrace the hate.

ESPN is all about drama. That is what is up with all the constant closeup shots. The old days of coverage when the wide angle lens was used and in which football was shown as a team game, well those days are gone forever in the constant pursuit of storylines.
