Default Adalius Thomas played up to expections?

I was expecting a All Pro when we got him but have not seen much of this.
Are you happy with his play so far and was he worth it?
thanks

He's a significant step up from whichever of the two platooners he's standing next to at any given time. The 3-4 inside linebacker position doesn't create superstars; even Ray Lewis in his prime wouldn't be putting up insane numbers in this system.

I am satisfied--he has helped seal the middle of the field. I wasn't expecting him to be any more than an important piece of the puzzle. The same happened with Colvin a few years back when everyone was expecting 10+ sack seasons.

He was until he hurt his ankle, he's been quiet since then but there's no denying how active he was before that. Let's hope he's 100% again.

He's made of glass.*

Just wanted to beat anyone else saying that even though it's not true.

Hope so...he's not listed on today's injury report.

He is a definite upgrade over what we had previously.
Yeah, the ankle injury has slowed him down a bit, apparently.
No doubt in my mind though, that he still has not got the BB defensive system down as well as he could.
When he does, he is going to be a monster for us.

our defensive strategy does not allow for one player to stand out...each player in a part to an overall machine. that is the best way i can put it. So yes, he is playing up to expectations.

I was very happy with AD's play before he hurt his ankle, and well worth the money the Pats paid to get him. Indeed he was everything that was advertized - flexible, athletic, fast and smart.

The injury certainly slowed him up, but I suspect that the coaches are holding him back at the moment trying not to stress the ankle. I get the impression that BB is carefully herding his team for the playoffs, because I get the same feeling with Maroney. Dont play either of them too hard or too many times in the earlier part of the season, and then spring them in the run up to the playoffs and beyond. After all the team is doing just fine with them in low gear so why push it? The advantage in December/January is that they are still fresh, the opposition has no film on how they affect defensive and offensive plays, and they are just bursting to contribute to one of the greatest teams of all time.

We know that AD and Maroney have all the necessary skills, ambition and the temperament; we just have to be patient until Bill, Dan and Josh are ready to unleash the beasts!
