Default New York Radio WFAN sometimes makes me smile

I know WEEI is far from perfect, but it sure beats having to listen to New York AM stations in the car. Once in a while tho there are days when callers in to the Mike and Mad Dog show cause a smile or chuckle.

Today was an example of the ones that made me laugh....

Subject - the Jets, and after bemoaning the ineptitudes of Gang Green, Pennington, the secondary and Mangini, Mike the host sums it all up with the statement that all he has to live for now is the 16th December when the Jets can go up to Foxboro and stick it to the Pats on their home turf. He doesnt care if they lose all other games and end up 2-14 as long as they stop NE from piling up a score on them and getting revenge for spygate. Mike knows it's impossible but that is now his one and only dream.........

This was followed up by a call from a Dolphin's fan who got some abuse from the hosts although he was calling to get sympathy for the fact that not only did he have to watch his winless team play poorly every week, but to add insult to injury he then has to watch ex-Dolphins Welker and Morris playing out of their skins for the unbeaten Pats...

One of the hosts then suggested that Saban had called BB before the former ran off to Alabama to tell him to grab Welker before he went as Welker was by far his best player. Since Nick and Bill are such good friends he just wanted to do him one final favor while in the NFL.

Made me smile all the way home......

Apparently Francesca's a BIG Tuna Toadie from back in the Giants days and he's still angry at BB for spurning his man.

As bad as the Boston media is, it can't hold a candle to NY.

Mike Francesa is the biggest no-talent hack on the radio (besides Dale Arnold)

Funny that you bring that up. I was just at jetsinsider.com and they're saying that a win in Foxboro is their only hope for a consolation prize on the season. as they so eloquently put it "this is our Super bowl". I laugh every time I think about their sorry franchise. Their owner doesn't have vision for his franchise so what does he do. he gets a severe case of patriots penis envy and takes anything the pats don't want, from their tubby towel boy coach , down to our the employee at the hot dog stand, desperately hoping that somehow a little patriot magic rubs off on that joke of a franchise. they take a number cruncher capologist whos not really a talent evaluator and make him a GM (tannenbaum) and pair him with towel boy (mangina) playing up this whole pioli, belichick image (Tangini).the jets will never find success until they become the jets not the jr. patriots. It's quite flattering though, especially when their overconfident fans think they can manhandle a team that their ownership tries to carbon copy. that "team" makes me laugh. Remember when they actually thought chad pennington was a better qb than brady in 02- 03? now they amidst their crap season they cant wait for a chance to celebrate his injury, for it shall usher in the KELLEN CLEMENS ERA.oooooh.sorry if I come of like a prick but no team pisses me off and makes me happy at the same time like that crap team headed by the man boobed mangina.

GOD BLESS THE PATRIOTS.

I don't think BB needed any convincing on Welker.

I don't mind Mike and the Mad Dog. Before WEEI was broadcast in western mass, I listened to the FAN quite a bit.
