the work it takes to recover from an injury as well as the pride to return is a great motivator. so is the fact that welker was planning on asking for a raise after the season last year

Yup, he missed that first game vs NYJ in 09. Edelman did OK but it wasn't the same, especially on at least one key miss by Brady, IIRC. This week should be different.
