Islam is not a race. It is a belief system, a religion, but most definitely NOT a race. Therefore, he is obviously NOT a racist. It's like calling someone who dislikes Baptists a racist. You might as well say someone who dislikes the Patriots is a racist. It's the same type of argument.
Besides, you ought to give a little supporting arguments as to why what Mr. King said is incorrect. I'm not taking any side here, just saying that if you are going to hurl out some sort of vituperative remark, you ought to back it up with some set of facts, not just a link to an article. If you disagree, say why. That's just common courtesy.

Secondly, I know what Islam is. Sheesh, did you really need to tell me it's a religion? And you're absolutely certain that a hatred of Islam has nothing to do with racism? Is that possible when the vast majority of Muslims are people of color, whether they are considered swarthy, black, African, Asian, etc.?
Now you say back up my claim with some facts? Huh? What are you talking about? Facts? UH, the article said that King believes there are too many mosques in America. Would you consider that a fact? Do you agree with that?
