Default The Totally Official: Predict the Season thread

Pre-season is over and we have to now wait 9 more days until the season starts. So, it's time for the predictions for the Patriots 2007 season. With the schedule below predict the final Patriots record of the regular season, who they will beat and who they will quite not win against.

9/9 @NY Jesters W I hate opening up against a division rival, but we will win.
9/16 SD Super Chargers W Norv is really Marty
9/23 Buffalo Bills W
10/1 @Cincy W
10/7 Cleveland W Romy takes another step back to NE
10/14 @Dallas W
10/21 @ Miami L Because we always do
10/28 Redskins W
11/4 @Indy W
No flu or injuries or bogus PI calls this time.
11/11 Bye
11/18 @ Buffalo W
11/25 Philly W
12/3 @ Ravens L But we will beat them if we play them in the playoffs
12/9 Pitt W
12/16 NY Jesters W - Mangenius will be called Manidiot by Jest fans by now
12/23 Miami W Because we always do
12/29 @ NY Giants Our second team beats my most hated team 54-0

Season Record 14-2

To Super Size my predictions:

Wild card weekend. Jax over Indy- Raven over Cincy
Divisional: Jax over SD - Patriots over Ravens
AFCCG: Patriots over Jax
Super Bowl Patriots over Bears

WTF??? How dare you have the Patriots losing a game.

I never predict individual games because I can't do it objectively. I look at every game and say "the Patriots should win that one." I just can't bring myself to predict a loss. I even did this when they were in the down years.

Yes, Homer City is your correct address.

With that said I'll go with loses at miami, Dallas and ONE more that always happens. One that you think your going to win before the season starts, but we end up losing...... 13-3

Of course this was before Rodney got suspended.

13-3. Losses to Miami (of course), SD and Dallas. We do Indy and Peyton gets to find out how much he misses Mr Glenn.
After that, it's anybody's and we have as good a chance as anyone. Always remember, though, that we won 3 SBs by a total of 9 points. That's how close it is at the top these days.

Pats are not losing to San Diego-No Way. I won't allow it.
Pats lose to Washington and that's all.
Don't ask me why.

I went to washington in 2004 to see them play there. Not only did they lose (they only lost 2 games that year), but the game was extremely frustrating. The Patriots had so many chances to win that game but they just kept making mistakes. On the good side, I got to meet the Murphy crew and a bunch of us had a good tailgate.

Nut,
on the Pats mailing list (a still extant vestage of the early BBS oriented Internet) we made W-L predictions and then used points scored by the offense (including PATs and FGs) as the tie-breaker. Steve1 from here runs it. Mrs B, Zip, et. al. participate.

Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
