What else can you do with the guy at this point?
He refuses to practice or play.
We haven't seen hide nor hair of him in weeks.
So far he has missed, what, 3-4 weeks after pulling a hamstring while jogging half speed in the first week of camp?
How bad can you pull a hammy while jogging?
I guess the "old Randy Moss" really is back. The one from the Raiders and his last couple of seasons with Minnesota.
I was hoping for a new & improved Randy Moss that would embrace the Patriot way and get with the program.
I mean if not the PUP list, I don't see how he even makes the team at this point.
Gaffney, Stallworth, Welker, Caldwell, Washington. Brown & Moss to PUP. Jackson gets cut.
Hope none of y'all went out spent $75 on a #81 jersey.
Wow, you are an idiot. Every time I think you have run out of retarded and brain-dead things to say, you pull some more crap out of that vacant hole that sits between your ears.

Spec: Armen mainly reads his own threads, doesn't pay much attention otherwise
The no-PUP-after-practicing rule has been mentioned a lot. If one is going to start a thread about the PUP there's little excuse for knowing next to nothing about it if you've been around long enough to post 1000 times.
And face it, some people aren't really interested in what others think, they find saying something outrageous for the shock effect to be eMasturbation. Oh boy! I got 100 replies!!!! Oh... ohhhh... ahhhhh.
Re: Spec: Randy Moss to the PUP list [impossible...]
He's going to have to mess up beyond what he can do as a receiver as in issues off the field or in the locker room to get cut. I will say this though.
Remember that workout video of him during the summer when he was dragging an asteroid across a Florida beach with a dead plow horse tied to his back and sweating enough to cause record high tides along the Gulf Coast? Remember how he was faster than a speeding bullet and how the Moss of old was back? Then virtually after a few days of camp he blows a hamstring. If this guy was on any of the Pat's rivals, IMO we'd be laughing ourselves silly.
Hopefully this isn't a portent of things to come and he will be someone we can count on to play most of the season and into the playoffs.

What can I say? It's a gift! One of the numerous gifts God has bestowed upon me...
Armen, you're trying to compare the toughness of modern athletes to the old school guys but you're forgetting something: Money. These owners and teams didn't have millions upon millions of dollars invested in guys like Butkis.
Also, Ronnie Lott didn't cut his finger off so he could particpate in practice and in preseason games.
As for Randy Moss, the idea that he is dogging it or faking an injury would have to make him one of the dumbest people on the face of the earth, and I doubt he is. He took a HUGE paycut to come here. He took that paycut to play for us, no one else. Now he's dogging an injury? Not when he was making $9 million?
That would be like me quitting my job so I could accept one at less than 30% of what I earn now, THEN I fake an injury so I can get worker's comp.
Well, okay.
Now that's a DECENT rebuttal. Thank you.
It doesn't change my opinion because I don't think money changes your love of the game. Unless you are just going on the premise that the team makes all these decisions and the player is not involved. BUt, there may still be some "old school" types out there still. Guys who are willing to play through injury. Bruschi comes to mind. I'll admit, there aren't a lot!
But at least you made some sense and didn't mudsling and I do appreciate that. Especially the "Workers Comp" analogy.
Re: Spec: Randy Moss to the PUP list [impossible...]
I pretty much agree with Armen Da Pats Fan's observations about Moss given his past attitude and effort on other teams. Folks are automatically assuming he'll be a 'Patriot way' disciple simply because he wears the uniform. What has Moss shown besides some self serving sound bites that he changed his ways? Don't misunderstand I'm hoping he proves me wrong but until then it's not unreasonable to be wary.
On a side note I also agree with ADPF that people who post anything remotely critical of the Pats are labled or summarily dismissed by the pom pom wavers. The koombya homerism can get quite boring- differing opinions should not only be tolerated- they should be encouraged.

Oh, no I wasn't kidding or being disingenuous at all.
The bottom line is this: I hate lazy pro athletes.
A HAMSTRING keeps you out for four weeks?!?!?! You're making a gazillion dollars and you can't get yourself on the field over a HAMSTRING?!?! Seymour? Moss? Chad Jackson? Whoever?
These NFL training staffs pamper these boys WAY too much.
Whatever happened to the days of Jack Lambert going out with blood running down his face or Dick Butkus spitting his own teeth out on the field or Ronnie Lott cutting his finger to stay in the game?
You think soft-boys like Seymour and Moss would ever do such a thing?
I got guys on my softball team that play for FREE and show up and play hurt every single week.
I'd rather go to battle with one of those ol' boys than these pampered pro athletes.
Okay?
So that's how I really feel about it.
And if Reche Caldwell & Jabar Gaffney can keep themselves on the field while fragile Randy Moss cannot, then Randy can hit the bricks, as far as I am concerned.
I'll take the guys with heart and desire and gumption every day!
You're entitled to your Patriots apologist opinions, I guess. "Everything Patriots is just perfect!"
When Moss starts taking plays off and pulling up lame with hamstrings in big games, just have the fortitude to acknowledge that.
What is wrong with you?
Seriously.

You really have no idea how severe or how painful his injury is. I'd suggest ducking out of this thread before your reputation is forever tarnished and people just stop taking you seriously, but I think you may have already blew past that point.
Jack, my man. You don't really base your "reputation" or sense of self-worth on the levels of approval you garner from an Internet blogging page, do you?
When all this is said and done, this is just a place we come to spout off, talk football, get info, etc.
Nothing more.
Please look up the meaning of "Rule 62" and get back to me.
(You can find it on Google by simply typing in "Rule 62")
It would be completely foolish to "suck it up" and play hurt in practice, and preseason games. Risking key players getting hurt so that you can look at their practice photos on Boston.com just isn't worth it. How about judging someone's "toughness" when championships are on the line.
Okay, fair enough.
But honestly, this doesn't worry you a little that ol' Randy is gonna be pulling up with some mystery "injury" at some point in the regular season or the playoffs?
