I don't think anyone expected this to last a long time. So he missed one day of practice, big deal.

A quote from the blog:

"There is no threat of a holdout," said the source. "The deal is done. They're just ironing out some minute details. He could be at practice this afternoon."

This is good news and not inconsistent with the way the Pats have managed their signings over the past few years. Everyone's looking for big things from this guy, and he's competing for a position in an area where the team never has enough depth.

This is good news, compated to the 07 the secondary has been improved by:
- Merriweather providing depth at S and CB
- Harrison being healthy
- Wilson being healthy
- Sanders gaining starting experience last year
- Hobbs' wrist being healed

The final chip is Samuel, if he is in the fold I think the secondary moves from a concern to a a very solid unit with some depth.
