let veteran defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday tell it: "With the ninth pick they took a guy who is basically a kick returner -- a hurt kick returner. Here were are in June, and he hasn't been in camp yet. Maybe he'll come in eventually and become a better route-runner and make some plays. But I couldn't believe it then, and I can't believe it now."
Quote:
"You notice the commissioner kind of paused before he read the name," Taylor says. "Like even he couldn't believe it."

Holliday had his own draft-day moment of revolting revelation. He was standing on the patio of his offseason home in Atlanta's Buckhead district, grilling his delectable specialty ("Best steaks east of the Mississippi," he insists), when his wife, Eboni, came rushing outside with the news.
"What did we do?" Eboni asked. Her husband nearly dropped his spatula. "About 45 seconds later," he recalls, "my phone rang. It was JT. I answered it and said, 'I know. I know. I can't believe it.'"
Quote:
"Needing a young quarterback for the future, you'd think picking Quinn would've been a no-brainer," Holliday says. "I mean, the setup was perfect. It's hard enough to get the fans (in South Florida) to come to the games, and now you piss them off? But hey, they must have a plan."

Where are Aqua-Boy and Feelinthepain? I really would like to hear their "unbiased" opinions of their own veteran players, including JT, questioning the pick....
Wasn't Mueller the maroon who traded a 2nd round pick to the Eagles for A.J. Feeley before Saban was hired? And they gave him back the keys to the kingdom after Saban left? Man, their owner is as bad as Dan Snyder... in a "I have no friggin clue what I am doing" kind of way. If Shula and Marino had any balls, they'd put a group together to buy the Dolphins and save them from themselves.
In some players' eyes, this wasn't merely a reach -- it was proof that NFL coaches and general managers should be subject to the same drug-testing procedures as the athletes.
Feelthepain is living up to his name now
Move over Cincinnati Bungles, you have been replaced by the Miami NoWins as the assclowns of the NFL
Wow. I'm surprised. I've don't think I can recall veteran players ever saying something so unprofessional about a draft pick before. I thought it was a joke what they said was so bad.
I know that Bullock called out Pacman Jones before he showed up to camp, but that was different, Pacman brought that on himself.
All Ginn did was get drafted. And he was already hurt. He doesn't deserve to be trashed by his teammates like that.
