As someone who did not bash Brace it now amazes me that one pre-season game against a pitiful opponent and now he's proven to be worthy of the 2nd round. Way premature.
"Hopefully what we saw the other night was a sign of things to come."
Precisely my feelings as a fan.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH

Three weeks ago, the majority of poster wanted to cut Brace. He has made zero tackles in a regular season game since then. I am just glad to seem him able to play some DE. You can win a bet by aksing "who is the slowest DE in the nfl?".
Seriously, it is good to have Brace in the mix. We know have two young backups from last year's draft.

Typically I agree 100% with the dont jump to conclusions approach.
But, in this case, its not one game, its 2, he was just as goodin week 2.
But most importantly is watching him play the position. He is phyiscally manhandling the guy across from him. On top of that he is aware and mobile (for a 320 lb DL).
I don't have to see too many plays of a 2 gap DL physically dominating a blocker to know he belongs and will be a very good player, if he stays healthy and is in shape to be able to do it long term.
Providing those 2 qualifiers, Brace will, this season, play at a level consistent with what we are used to seeing out of our DEs. He looked THAT good in those 2 games that I can conclude this so quickly. I have not been so excited about what I see in a player in preseason translating onto the field in the regular season in a long time. Brace has been way better in these 2 games (and I am talking about playing the position, not stats) than my highest expectations of him, and I expect 2nd round picks to be pretty damn good.

Mg, please go back and focus on his play. I am telling you right now, this guy is our starting DE. In both games he physically owned the blocker across from him. Watch him then watch any other DL on the team, and see the difference.
I focussed on him when he was in there, so I saw the one on one battle, and he flat out dominated it.
Also, posters wanting to cut him 3 weeks means less than nothing.
