Default Brady needs to stop whining too

Heard Brady this morning on his WEEI interview.

He said that the level of consistency that's gotten the team to 10 wins this season is not going to carry the team very deep into the playoffs.

Geeze... you'd think the guy could be a little bit more positive and let us fans enjoy the victory for just a day before getting all whiny and negative.

I mean he just beat a team 40-7 and the team is 10-4. Brady and all these so-called fans here that want to look at the glass as half empty are really just a downer and should keep their comments to themselves.

Of course Boomer Esiason was on before Brady and agreed that this offense isn't one that, given the way its been playing, he expects is going to carry the team deep into the playoffs as well, so add another person to the "whiner" list around here.

They should at least give us at least 24 hours before anything that isn't all about celebrating a victory is discussed

Maybe they are just being a bit realistic. Or just becuase they put up 40 against the Texans it means that they can put up 40, or even 20 against the Ravens or Chargers? They Pats have not been playing their best football as of late. So they beat the Texans 40-7. Guess what? They should have. They problem is that they don't play the Texans in the playoffs. Yesterdays game is a step in the right direction, but one blow out against a poor team does not fix all the problems this team has. If they can finish out the season with quality wins over Jax and Tenn then I will be more excited about their playoff chances.

I'm all for Brady being more vocal. Let Brady speak and the team follow. It wasn't that long ago, when Brady spoke up and was shot down by his teammates, like who the hell is this guy. There has been plenty of leadership on the part of the defense. What's been missing is the vocal leadership on the offense.

No-one said this offense can carry the team. But we have the #2 scoring defense so it doesn't have to. The discussion yesterday was whether this is the worst offense in the Brady Era, and all the numbers suggest otherwise.

Did Brady say it's the worst offense he's had ? Ha ha ha. The joke's on you buddy. When Watson and Maroney are back this offense is fine.

I feel better hearing that after a blowout than hearing "we're 9-4" after getting our asses handed to us.

I'm with Brady, and it's not his job not to hurt our feelings with what he says. We haven't beaten many playoff teams this season, a 40-7 win over the Texans isn't a huge reason to celebrate.

No one's said this team's been consistent.

Apparently you haven't read my posts of constructive criticism as you are now obsessed with whining only.

Totally agree. Brady was right on. there are so many posting here that
think that 40-7 win was such a big deal.

The offense was still not very good . Check the running stats.
The reason for the points is because PATs Offense played on a 50 yd field
all day. That will not happen in the play offs.
How many times did they have to settle for FGs?
How many 70 or 80 drives did PATs do yesterday?
Can they even make a drive like that without stalling the drive?
Wake up people .... take off those homer glasses ... and see things for
what they are .... the way Brady sees it.
The inconsistencey he talks about I believe is due to the facts
1. PATs' WRs are second rate
2. The Oline is poor against good defenses.

Well, I'm unhappy that he didn't post that on the the unhappy thread.

But, maybe he took last night to be happy about the victory. Did anyone ask him that?

That's pretty much the way i feel. I wouldn't be as worried if the O had mounted any real drives and if they didn't stall on the short ones they had.
But hey, Walter did ok!!
