as the bye week was quiet, and I didn't expect the Bills to put up much resistance this week, and the whining, chicken little talk on this board has gotten to be a bit much. But I will say this: This team is going to be dominant by the time the season starts winding down and the playoffs approach. The defense, which has been good all season, is making gains every week, and is starting to turn the ball over with regularity. Brady is starting to find some rythym with his receivers, the running game is good and the offensive line is starting to come together as well (despite some early struggles today). This team has an excellent chance to go 6-1 next week, and with the division all but clinched, there is a tremendous opportunity to earn a bye and win another Superbowl. Now's the time to either commit to the bandwagon, or if you're a whiner like some that will remain nameless, jump off before it really gets rolling, because it won't be long before the momentum is unstoppable.

That's what I thought until I realized Chad Jackson is the same as Bethel Johnson and Tony Simmons.
That means Doug Gabriel could be the same as Donald Hayes which leads me to assume that Gaffney is the same as Henry Ellard and the only logical conclusion is that Caldwell is the same as David Terrel.
And you know what that means? That's right, we have no receivers. Brady will have to throw to backs and Ben Watson will need to lose 20 pounds to be able to gain the quickness to run the proper routes.
I don't want to be pessimistic, but it doesn't look good.

See my post in the aweful C.J=Bethel thread. Way too early to know what we have yet. Wait till December. Enjoy the win, know that we will be watching the playoffs, but dont get overly excited until December.

Agreed, especially about the D moving upward, save one point. The division isn't wrapped up. The Jets are still in it. These guys have Chicago next week then have a very soft schedule the rest of the way (with the Patriots the exception). They have demonstrated they can score points. If their running D shows enough progress over the remaining part of the season, I believe they will be there and have a shot at one of the wild card spots. They have 4 wins with games remaining with Cle, Miami, Buff, Oak, Houston, GB and Minn. That is a very, very nice schedule. 10 and 6 is doable for these guys. The Patriot game versus the Jets in a month is huge for both teams. Assuming the Jets lose to Chi (which nothing is certain in the NFL) and if we provide them their 5th loss next month, that means we have a 5 loss margin counting the tie breaker. Great! I believe the division is ours. If we lose to them, we now have a 2 loss margin dependning on the tie breaker fall out. That is a huge swing in margin. Any game can be lost by any team, any week including the Patriots vs the Jets. Again, the division isn't won and that game versus the Jets looms big. Glad it's at home!

Keep it tough for the Pats, make them work for every yard and point, I want a battle tested team for the playoffs.

The only reason I said that the division is all but wrapped up is the Jets. They're barely hanging around. Personally, I don't fear that team, they aren't very good, and as the season wears on the losses will mount for them. Miami and Buffalo are dead in the water, and the Pats are up to 4-0 in the division, so it's highly unlikely they lose the division. This team just needs to continue to focus on winning games and improving during the season, and they'll be there in the end.
