Locker room notes
A few quick notes from the locker room:

* CB Ellis Hobbs confirmed he had surgery last week on his left wrist. (More from Hobbs later).

* New lockers were set up for DB Chidi Iwouma and OL Sean Bubin. Iwouma worked out for the Patriots last week and could be filling the team's final roster spot. Bubin looks like a practice squad addition.

My Google has that as Chidi Iwuoma, late of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Any more info?

I was assuming that's why he was brought in. To fill Gay's spot on ST and as a depth guy in the DBackfield.

He is a highly touted ST's ace type. Known for being a gunner.

So in short yes he took over Gay's role of being a gunner on ST's.

Bubin on the other hand looks very promising:

Carroll was absolutely horrible.

If he were on this team you would have thought it was Duane Straks brother had you known nothing about the player and didnt know he was a first rounder.

I asked about Chidi Iwuoma on a Steelers board, not much as a DB very good ST guy, thay are pissed that we signed him. I asked for a comparison to Poteat as a DB. Will post other feedback.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Good.

He will definitely increase our all-important "weird name quotient," as well as the "%CBs under 5'10" metric.
