Default Pats-Falcons joint practice

Didn't see any discussion about it, kind of bored of discussing the Jets.

Just a few links I've found so far:

BostonHerald.com - Blogs: Rap Sheet Blog Archive What happened at the Patriots training camp? Day 15, Session 1 (Falcons edition)

Also several posts here: Official Patriots Football Weekly Blog

In a running summation:

1.) It appears Wilhite still cannot play the ball in the air, causing BB to lose his ****.

2.) Burgess showed some pass rushing moves.

3.) Wilfork seems to be assuming a leadership mantle on defense

4.) Ron Brace looks quick with a good burst

Oh, and Spikes continues to display his badassery:

Quote:
A couple plays later, Brandon Spikes might have been a little overzealous in his “tag” of wide receiver Brandon Harvey over the middle. Spikes met him like a brick wall and Harvey went down to the ground. The Patriots linebacker got a reminder from Bill Belichick that he was playing touch and not tackle.

Good to hear positive things about Brace and Burgess. Both good be important role players if they're up to snuff.

Wilhite struggling on deep balls is discouraging, but I'm hoping we don't see him covering deep receivers very often. If he's a dime corner covering slot receivers I think he may have the quickness to keep up. If we're forced to use him outside again this year, he may not have improved his ball skills enough to be effective.

Glad we passed on the 6th. I hear he's back to puntin' and poutin' over his drops...in Miami.

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "
