Yeah, well.......

Nice to see Goodell spreading the wealth around to teams besides the Patriots.

The NFL needed a hard ass commissioner, love him or hate him, he is consistant. But on this issue the CBA is clear, fail multiple drug tests and you sit a year. Not sure this situation constitutes saying "Goodell Swings the Hammer".

There has been no league report of a failed drug test. As far as anyone can currently ascertain, this involves his criminal case. If it is about a failed test, it's still Goodell swinging the hammer, though, so I don't really see where you were going with your post.

From the NFL.com site:

NFL.com news: Packers' Jolly suspended by NFL under substance-abuse policy

It will be interesting to see if the league comes out and states that a test was failed, because that would have a possible impact on Jolly's criminal/parole situation(s).

Oh snap! Don't know how much of an impact he has on the Packer's defense, but that's a long time!

Except, of course, when the jets are involved - then suspensions are shortened or lifted totally.

Jets can tamper at will with total impunity.

Started all 32 games in last 2 seasons; 88 tackles in them 2 seasons but only 1 sack!

Unless he is actually being double teams consistently and cannot get past it, I think he won't be much of a miss in pass rush, but seems pretty good for a DE in run support.

The way the criminal charges have unfolded against this guy, he could end up spending quite a bit of time at the Ironbar Hotel.

That consistency didn't really manifest itself after Mangini admitted to taping from the endzones, now did it?
