As there was already a link for the Sporting News 7 Round Mock, I thought I'd share the Todd McShay/ Scouts Inc choices for the Patriots from his 7 Round Mock (for those who don't get ESPN Insider).
#21 A Cromartie DC Fl. St.- As he already has his own thread, I won't go to much into detail. I have a little problem w/ the thought BB & Co. would use a 1st rd. pick on someone w/ only 1 career start, no matter how athletic he is. Still on board- D Williams M Lawson B Carpenter L Maroney
#52 Brian Calhoun RB Wisconson- Not a bad pick when you consider how much time Faulk has missed the last few years. Still on Board- D Tapp, J Klopfenstein, M Anderson, M Stovall, D Bullocks G Jennings
#75 Gerris Wilkinson ILB Georgia Tech- I could see this. I might be looking WR myself (though BB seldom seems to listen to me). Still on board- M Stanley, D Hagan, P Watkins, P Haralson
#86 Brandon Williams WR Wisconson- I know I differ from many on this Board, I like this pick, esp. @ 86. Nice quickness & return skills as well. Still on the board- J Avant, J Trueblood, A Smith, M Drew, G Whimper
#106 Stanley McClover DE/ OLB Auburn- Going solely on stats (I haven't seen him play), He seems like he might fit. Still on the board- T Jennings, R O'Callahan, F Matua
#118 Charles Gordon DB/ WR Kansas- Fast. Good kick returner. "W Blackman-esque" all purpose player. Still on the Board- L Williams(miami), B Marshall (Cent. Fla.), R Edwards (Perdue)
#136 Kai Parham ILB Virginia- Good Production. Worked in A Groh system. 5.1 40 ???? OK for 5th rd I guess. Still on the board- M Maxey (miami), B Cofield (Nwestern), G Riggs Jr (auburn), J Mincey (Fla), W Mathis (fresno) M Hass (oregon)
#191 Josh Huston K Ohio St- Best available kicker most likely. Still on board J Wyche (Syracuse)
#205 Kendrick Golston DT Georgia- I must admit that I haven't heard of him...
#206 Dan Stevenson G Notre Dame- Developemental pick. I could see it. Still on Board K Ellison (Oregon), M Vick (VA St), R La Casse (Syracuse).
#229 Marcus Green DT Ohio St- Training camp fodder most likely. Left on the Board- F Roach (Bama), S Havner (UCLA), B Smith (Missouri), A Jennings (fresno st)

not bad but if mike hass is still there in the 5th round, i think the pats will jump on him....hes got the best hands in the draft.

I agree, which is why I tried to give you an idea what was still out there when we picked. I like McShay, but I don't always agree w/ him (see all the notes). I stongly disagree w/ Cromartie. I'm not big on Gordon, mostly because I'm not sure he can make it as a BB corner, and his return skills are redundant if we pick B Williams. A lot of pundits have us taking Parham, but that 40 time scares me. But it does make for good discussion...

i wasnt disagreeing with you, just disagreeing with whoever made the mock. also...i do like parham and i like the fact he played in groh's system so i think and hope they take him also.

Lawson is a MUCH better pick than Cromartie.

Huge Reach on Calhoun at this point. Addai or Drew are better picks.

Just silly. Wilkinson is not an ILB, He's a MLB and too many people don't understand the significant differences between the 2 positions.

Probably would take Drew or Avant at this point.

Mike Anderson is a better fit in my opinion than McGlover.

We don't need another DB. I don't think that Brandon Marshall is on the Pats board with his Terrell Owens type attitude.

Parham here isn't a bad pick.

Its debatable as to whether he's the best kicker.

Not a Patriots type player

Stevenson is a G/T type player that the Patriots like.

If Havner is still on the board at this point, he'd be a HUGE steal.
This draft has to be one of the absolute worst I have seen for the Patriots. If this happened, it would get an F.

Because of copyright laws I can't post the whole draft. McShay Has Addai going to the Colts @ #30. I like Drew, but he is only 5'6". An Unkown front office person on the Pats talked in th Globe about D Sproles last year & said that because of the special team responsibilities of a back up RB, what will you spend on someone that size. He is good on return teams. He can't play "gunner" on punts. He's too small to block for PATs, FGs, Punts. But really he is in for 4-10 plays a game. I liked Calhoun @ Colorado. It is arguable that we can pick him up @#75.
