Not all teams commence these workouts at the same time. SD for example isn't starting theirs until the first week in April. Polian said in one of his post season interviews that their program, which usually commences in mid March, would start significantly later this year because they played in the superbowl (and lest we forget lost.......... ).

both of their season went quite a bit further than brady, so they get at least that much extra time to show up
