Since everyone's looking back at the past decade I figured why not look back at our favorite Patriot games from the past 10 years. Not including the SBs or playoff games, my top 5 were:
1. Brady's Return (2009)
-The return of a hero + monday night football + throwback uniforms + epic comeback. How could you not go crazy over this one?
2. OT Thriller versus Houston (2003)
-Had we played this game this season, this would be seen as a simply just a poor performance against an awful team and the messageboards would be filled with doom and gloom threads. But imo this was one of the best and easily the most exciting games of the 2003 SB season. Classic Belichick gambles and the team coming out on top even when everything was going wrong for them. Hopefully this sunday's game at Reliant is as exciting as this one.
3. Pats Vs. Phins Season Finale (2002)
-Bruschi pick to seal the deal and squish the fish, you know this makes the list.
4. The Goalline Stand (2003)
-Mr. James, meet Mr. Mcginest. One of the best games in the Pats-Colts Rivalry.
5. Cassel's First Start against the Jets (2008)
-A career backup who struggled against the Chiefs going up against Brett Favre and our hated rivals. Jets fans were certain they'd wipe the floor with us and I remember how loud the stadium was when the Jets were in FG range on their first drive. Cassel's performance wasn't pretty, but the team stuck together and pulled out a hard earned win which defined the grit of the 08 season.

#1 on this list is the first game ever at Gillette Stadium. First Banner game. And We beat the steelers pretty good that day too. I still think the moment that first banner was raised was the loudest it has ever been at Gillette.
#2 The snow celebration game vs Miami. Crazy snow storm left the stadium half empty, people sitting on snow banks where there seats should be, a division clinching victory over a division rival, and oh yeah the coolest TD celebration ever (no offense Ochocinco)
#3 Goal line Stand on the final drive to beat Indy
#4 Patten Throws a TD, Catches a TD, and Runs one in to beat Indy
#5 Pats Vs Titans in 04...Part of the streak... the Sox were playing a playoff game and I was at Gillette with a radio in my ear Celebrating Titan INTs because the Sox were scoring rus (oops). Sox won, Pats won both went onto win the big ones.
Edit: just noticed this isn't limited to just 5
#6 Bruschi's return to Gillette from his stroke
#7 Troy Brown pics off Drew Bledsoe
#8 Mo Lewis game (no further explanation neccessary)
*Sorry Drew I still love ya but those two moments were amazing
#9 3rd banner game...the way ozzie came out the helmet singing crazy train was too cool
#10 2nd banner game....man those banner games were a lot of fun

One game I don't hear much about is the 2nd games vs. the Jets in 2001. The Pats were trailing 13-0 at the half, but managed to come back in the 2nd half and take a 1 point lead. Terrell Buckley sealed it with a pick. Had the Jets hung on to their lead and finished with 11 wins instead of 10 that year, they would've won the AFC East. Needless to say it was a huge win for the Pats.
Another one of my favorites was the 40-22 win over the Rams in 2004. The Pats had just been beat up in Pittsburgh, and the Rams actually took an early lead. But the Pats put together a great all-around effort and came out with a convincing win.
And finally, the Pats beating up on the Raiders last year in Oakland. Cassel threw 4 TDs days after his father's passing, leading the Pats to a 49-26 win.
Obviously there are a TON more, but I figured I'd list a few that may not be mentioned as much as some of the other classics. One thing is for sure, we've had a ridiculous amout of great games this decade.
One of my favourite games was against the Chargers in 2001 when Brady led the team from behind to an exciting win. I remember it was after this game I said to myself, "this Brady guy just might work out as a starter in the NFL". I'll never forget that moment.
1. SB36 nothing better than your first.
2. '01 Playoff against Raiduhs, Vinatieri's kick through the snow to tie was epic.
3. SB38 really exciting SB
4. '01 AFCCG against Steelers, Troy Brown came up big in special teams.
5. Clock Killing Corey Dillon taking over the 2nd half in the playoff game against the Geldings.
6. Every other victory over the Geldings.
7. Every victory over the Jest.

My Mood:
Re: Favorite games of the decade
- Goal Line Stand vs the Colts
- Coming back against the Ravens to stay undefeated
- Jets @ The Razor in 2007, the fans ovation of BB after spygate echoed what I felt, these SOBs had sullyed a great man and they were about to pay.
- 59-0 this year, in the snow.
- Broncos Intentional Saftey game.
- 31-0 Revenge against the Bills. Steve Diossie's (sp?) great quote: "The Pats only key to the game: Don't miss the bus to the stadium."
