The entire system of the NFL how it chews up players and spits them out. Also I detected a hint of animosity towards BB.
When TJ "retired", I posted that I thought he was allowed to retire instead of being cut, allowing him to save face. I still don't believe the concussion story. I think BB concluded (incorrectly) that he had ample bodies to replace TJ. and decided to cut him loose. His animosity towards BB and the team, make me believe I wasn't as far off base as the responders to my post told me I was.

TJ had it rough from BB. Got his salary cut more than once on a take it or leave it basis. Walked away once but came back. Not exactly a love in with BB. Sacrificed his body for the club. I believe the concussion story. He had to quit for medical reasons and did not want to quit yet.
That being said he retired in his early 30s as a multi-millionaire set for life, never mind the future pension. Plus, the job he has now for good pay I'm sure, is a direct result of having played for the Patriots org; it's not something he would have gotten otherwise. He's having a hard time adjusting to the new role.
He may also be one of the players bitter over Futie having been a 'scab' strikebreaker.
I agree with his opinion that our defensive backfield looks inadequate to the task of stoping a top QB like Manning.
Felger's show is evolving into a scab picking escapade. He sets his guests up and all but the brightest fall right into the trap. Ted didn't seem to have any problem with the kick or the guy who made it on Sunday's post game show, and looked as stunned as Burton when Felger went into his rant. Odd that today Ted had developed issues with the kick and even the kicker.
Ted has long had issues with BB, not just financial. He was part of the old culture (along with Lawyer and Ty and Drew) whom BB had to struggle with at times over pecking order/seniority type entitlement attitudes. He said today that he thought Del Rio was a players coach (which I guess makes BB an anti-players coach???) and was making the right decision (solely on that basis) to play Leftwich. "A guy shouldn't loose his job due to injury." (I believe TJ lost his to a guy named Bruschi who used to back him up.) Ted said if Leftwich didn't play it would send a bad message to the rest of that team going forward. I guess telling a backup if you play well and win, don't expect to get the gig is sending a good message in Ted's book. Felger was a bit stunned by the attitude, so he asked him if he felt BB had made the wrong decision when he kept Brady in over Drew in 2001. Ted tap danced a bit (although you could tell he wanted to say "hell yes") and then said he would have given the job back to Drew. He tried to lighten the exchange then by saying that was probably why it was a good thing he went into the media and not coaching. I had to exit my car so I missed his answer to Felgers flabbergasted followup "Do you thing they could have won with Drew?" question. Not that his answer matters.
Just trying to stir up the pot like all the other media guys.
Exactly... and speaking of Bam Childress, Ted, if the team REALLY wanted to win he wouldn't have been in there period. I think Bam probably realizes this better than you do. So lighten up a little.

I have lost all respect for his analysis.
You know, I was thinking the same thing that TJ did not have a problem with the kick on the Sunday 5th Quarter show........
Felger is on NEST now saying that we disrespected the Jags with that kick...... He is losing respect fast. I guess this is what Sports Radio does to "good" journalists.
Message to Mike Reiss.....Stay off the radio, you are our only hope!!

BB takes out the starters early in the 2nd quarter and it's a *4th* quarter dropkick that disrespected the Jags? Okay, Felger.
