Big time college football, on the other hand, is quality fun live, although generally boring on TV.
I generally agree with your points, but the one thing you can get out of live games that you do not get from TV is the ability to see the whole field (depending on your seats) and watch particular players whenever you want and for as long as you want.

How bout we start coming up with songs for the team/coaches/players? I've seen how when a player/team is not playing well, he/they can be lifted by the crowd singing their name/fight song.
The pacing American Football is too slow to allow long chants and songs to be shouted.

Turnovers and Giveaways(Punts) are also huge in American Football. Penalties are huge also(And crowd noise plays a factor in that).

In Soccer, you're essentially playing offense and defense at the same time for most of the game, and there are rarely timeouts.

Since its 2 hours of just straight action in Soccer there can be build up for chants and songs.

Two sports that couldn't be anymore different

I don't disagree that they're very different. If you read a previous post of mine, I suggested we come up with songs for the team and players to lift their spirits during scheduled breaks. Also songs against the opposition
