At this point should every defensive player just go into the year assuming that he's going to get $50K in fines no matter what? Getting kinda ridiculous...
Is is strange that the this info comes directly from the players and the league doesn't simply issue a report each week with a list of all fines assessed?
According to Reiss' twitter the NFL did confirm those fines but if no one inquired would no one ever know?
Is it possible that they make this info difficult to come by as someone would inevitably review the offending plays and point out the inconsistencies of the fine amounts?

So even if BM did taunt, what about the countless players on offense that do their BS dances, taunts, etc every play on simple 10 yard catches. Talking **** is part of the game but it seems like penalties / fines slip past the offensive guys. I guess that's not surprising though, rules favor offense.
That penalty still befuddles me. I wonder if he'll protest?
He should. There is a good amount of taunting that goes on after every play in a typical NFL game. To get fined for it is ridiculous. Makins deserves his. I didn't see the Warren play in question so I can't really comment on it.

The Meriweather penalty still angers me. The ref obviously through the flag for something else, and it was if if they were like hmmm we could call him for taunting I guess...
Count me in as someone who disagrees with these. I don't recall anything egregious enough being done by any of these players to warrant a financial penalty. It's ridiculous.

Is it me, or has there been a trend for the past few weeks where the questionable calls in our favour are lambasted by everyone while the questionable calls against us all generate fines?
