Default Will AFC East Buy or Sell at tuesday's trade deadline?

Will AFC East sell or buy at trade deadline? - AFC East - ESPN

I see the Pats not buying but certainly doing a little shoppoing for a WR to garnish the #3 or #4 spot - Roscoe Parrish is rumored to want out badly,I could see the Bills doing something with him.

Terrell Owens rumors of him being shopped around seems to be ridiculous especially considering the well publicized signing and all the market value T.O. has with his new fans in Buffalo (All 3 of them )

BTW: I think the trade deadline in mid October is retarded - There should be trading allowed till at least week 10 when injuries continue to mount on some teams that may need help to try and make the playoffs

I agree. I like baseball's system although I'd like to see the 7/31 deadline moved to 8/31 as you have a bunch of teams still in contention. Maybe make the NFL's TD 11/30 and players must clear waivers if acquired after that date.

I dare not even think about cap/CBA ramifications.

The Jets already made the key trade getting Braylon Edwards.

It shored up their only weakness.

I am just throwing this out there...please dont attack me or think I am crazy its just a thought...

If the Bills put TO on the market and demanded something small in return, would the Pats make a run at him? We do need another WR...

Absolutely not. There is no way Bill would want that cancer on the team.

I would think the Bears would be the leading contender in a T.O. sweepstakes with the Rams not far off - I don't think BB would take a loser like T.O.,Especially in the middle of the season.

T.O.'s career could be over..at least as a #1 or even #2 receiver..he stinks anymore

In all fairness..TO has been very quite in Buffalo. He would do well here and we would have the best WR group in the NFL.

I doubt we see a single trade at the deadline. This is NFL, I don't know why this type of idea that there's going to be a flurry of activity crops up every year.

No way can Randy Moss and T.O. play together on this team...they would clash like an Orange shirt with Yellow pants.

I don't think the Pats will make a move but I agree w/Lombardi's assesment from the other day: Tavern talk: A win for Vikki Zimmer | National Football Post

Quote:
1. The longer I watch the Patriots on offense, the more apparent it becomes they need a back. To run the spread, you must have a back who can make tough yards and yards after contact. Right now, they don’t have a back with that kind of consistent skill, which makes their offense struggle.
Steven Jackson would certainly look good in a Pats uniform and fit this offense perfectly but with 5 yrs remaining on a 6-yr $44.805 mil deal he signed in August 2008 I don't think it's likely at all. It would be nice though.

Florio touched on this very topic in his 10-pack of trades that should happen today:
10-Pack: Trades that should be made before deadline - Mike Florio - NFL - Sporting News
Quote:
2. Rams should trade Steven Jackson.
Steven Jackson, at 26 years old and in his sixth NFL season, is in the throes of pro football middle age. Given his hard-nosed running style, he's only got a few more years left before the L.T.-style decline begins.

Rams should get what they can for Steven Jackson. With the Rams more than a few years away from contending, Jackson will be used up before they're ready to make a move up the standings.

So why not get what they can now for Jackson?

Though most contenders have guys who can move the chains, the Packers could really use him. With Fred Taylor possibly out for the year in New England, Jackson would look good in silver and blue, too.
