Interesting if true. I forgot the Jets were recently busted for playing around with the injury report and that's ONLY because Brett Favre had a big mouth.
If they got busted again, the league would be forced to make an example of the Jets and the NFL obviously doesn't want that, now does it? I wouldn't be surprised of Goodell tries to cover this up.

Kraft and the Patriots should be all over this with Goodell. But they won't, is my guess. While I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, it's really frustrating that all of these episodes (Crabtree, Oakland coach breaking the assistant's jaw) just seem to fade away and we took a major screwing for taping flippin' hand siganls.

Just read this response by a dude on PFT forum, found this very interesting....

This was as predictable as the morning sunrise. The Jets continue to scrap the bottom of the barrel for their daily bread. The reason the league looks the other way is because they are a New York team in the shadow of the Giants, with enormous numbers of expensive seat licenses to sell in the new stadium they rent from the Giants. Everything they do is to sell those seat licenses. In this economy, the NFL does not want a team like that going under. So, they continue to look the other way. The Jets are wreckless though. It's like they have gotten way too ****y on what they can get away with. They also tampered with Brandon Marshall of the Broncos. They finally filled their need taking advantage of Braylon Edwards recent skirmish with the law.
Recall that they were the team that was filming the Patriots illegally. They had more cameras out than the league allows. The Pats asked them to stop. Then, when they played in NY, they blocked the Patriots from having a legitimate camera in the end zone for practice film purposes (like all teams do). The Patriots brought the camera to the sideline instead (a rule violation) and then got in trouble, but it was the Jets being the J-E-T-S, doing the actual CHEATING in the first place that caused it all.
How about that hit by Sanchez against the Saints? He throws a pick six, can't catch the guy, see's the Saint players coming down the field, who graciously chose to NOT crush him, and what does he do? He throws himself at their knees, for no known reason other than to injure.
I call this move "THE DIRTY SANCHEZ."
The play was over. They gave him grace by not crushing his a@@. He takes advantage and tried to injure them "just because." What does he get? A paltry $5000 fine from the league. A pittance compared to his monster salary. Rex Ryan probably will pay it for him. Ryan is the same guy that issued bounties for injuring players.
Remember, the JETS are the same organization that tampered with Curtis Martin, and also with Bill Parcells DURING the Super Bowl preparations in 96.
The JETS are, and always have been the dung heap of the NFL and Home of The L-O-S-E-R-S!!!

I agree with the "dude on the PFT Forum", in that it's all about THE major city media darling NY Jets and PSL sales. Were Comissioner Clouseau to seriously investigate the Jets tampering charge and find them guilty, a big ass penalty would be due, one exceeding the loss of a single #1 pick. Such devastation would cause prospective PSL buyers to lose heart in the team's future and put a crimp in PSL sales. Ain't gonna be allowed to happen.

Since the very start of all that Spygate crap I maintained it was an orchestrated hit job by Goodell. When will people finally realize this man has MAJOR conflicts of interest sitting in judgement of the Patriots?
THIS is the BEGINNING of his NFL work history..
• 1982: Joined league in 1982 as an intern in the NFL's offices in New York.
• 1983: Worked for the New York Jets in public relations and administration offices.
worked in administration for the New York Jets ....later on sits in judgement, deliberately trying to harm the New England Patriots franchise.

I've not been the ESPN basher some have been... but I remember that before my less-than-legal dish went down, some on that network were speculating BB might be suspended : or even LOSE HIS JOB. Something about Kraft, honor, blah, blah, blah...
ESPN should actually be all over this (actually, the shouldn't - but I mean if they are going to go crazy over NE's situation...). Or, at the very least, one of the "analysts" - especially a former player - should have the balls to say that people were too critical of NE when other teams, see : the late 90's Denver teams were screwing with the cap and the modern day Jets can't keep their nose clean.
