Wow a lot of Hate going down for Hobbs. I actually liked the guy he was an average player with a lot of passion. Now dont flame me please but I thought Hobbs was hurt during the SB ? Anyway weather he was or not I cant hold a grudge against that play with Burress concidering he is about a foot taller than Hobbs just a major mismatch if you ask me.

And don't forget that an allout blitz was called on the play that was the winning TD. You send everybody and they don't get to the QB, then you are leaving your corner on an island.

I would have to say Hobbs seems perfect to cover someone like Welker. And right now i would say Hobbs would have done a better job than Wheatley against the eagles if he were still on our team. And about the superbowl, Hobbs was the only person that capitalized on a turnover with that pick that the pats did nothing with. They could have at least attempted a 50 yard field goal with his pick but Nooo. In that game Randall Gay, Asante, Woods, and Merriweather all failed to capitalize on potential turnovers.

And no one was on Harrison's back. Yeah he was most likely tired from always being on the field because of our bad offense that game, but he held the tight ends in check almost the whole game but when it counted in the fourth, Kevin Boss ran wild and Tyree caught a ball that hung in the air.

And do you guys remember Brady laughed at Plaxico's bold prediction of the Giants winning 21-17. Brady clearly said to the reporter all smuggly that they actually think they can hold us to 17 points. I would've glady been happy with at least getting 17. It would've sent us to overtime. SO JUST GET OFF OF HOBBS BACK. ITS LIKE KICKING A GUY IN THE NUTS WHILE HES PASSED OUT. HE DID NOT SINGLE HANDEDLY COST US THE SUPERBOWL

Yeah, not like that guy...umm...what's his name....you know the guy that covers Welker like a blanket.

Ok. That was a little sarcasm for you.
Really. Who DOES have the quickness to cover Welker?!?!

It's been said that Hobbs was supposed to receive safety help over the top on that play. I'm still not sure how anyone here could possibly know that unless there are Pats coaches actually posting here. But that's what was said.

Personally, I think Hobbs gets a lot of flak for no reason. I'm not going to put the blame on him for that catch because I personally do not know if he was supposed to be left 1 on 1 with Burress. Hobbs was serviceable at the very best. He made a lot of good plays for us and he gave up some plays. He should have never been thrust into the #1 position last year. In the end though, he did his job to the best of his abilities and showed a great amount of class toward the whole organization when he left. Hobbs isn't going to get any bad mouthing from me.

What do you think Brady should have said? "Yeah, Plaxico is right. We suck. We're definitely only going to be able to score 17 points. That'll actually be a miracle because the Giants defense is definitely going to butt rape us". Get the hell out of here.

Thanks for having me. Hope you enjoyed the post. I try to tell it how it is. I know Hobbs wasn't all that but i hate seeing him continuously degraded for stupid things that were not always his fault. Im done commenting on Hobbs on to finding faults with the new guys from here on out for me.

I'm glad that guy's not one of our starting corners anymore and that an ex-teamate had the balls to say that. There were posters on this board that were Hobbs apologists and for the life of me, I can't understand why.
