I ask this question to Miguel and the other cap number experts. The Patriots had $6,032,711 in their rookie pool. With 9 of them signed, how much is left to sign the other three, (Chung/Ingram/McKenzie)?
I remember that the Eagles several years ago ran out of money and had to release a DLineman (Brock?) who later signed with Indy..I don't expect the Pats to make such a faux pas but I wonder if they could get creative with McKenzie if need be and could that be why they were alleged to be trying to push Ingram's bonus to 2010????

IIRC the cap number for the rookie cap is actually calculated differently than the cap number for the regular salary cap, but I don't recall the exact differences. So while I think your numbers are wrong. I don't know the correct numbers.

The difference you're thinking of, I think, is that it includes all first-year salary cap hits for drafted rookies, and bonuses only for rookie UDFAs.

IIRC Brian Hoyer got a $16K signing bonus but I don't know of any others...
Most UDFAs get about $5K or so as a signing bonus.

It was Foxboro when I grew up in Milton/Canton many years ago....I didn't know if three Lombardis made them snobby..........enough to add the 'ugh'
While it was "Foxboro Stadium," the official name of the town itself has, IIRC, always been Foxborough.
