Default Police confirm Murder-Suicide in McNair death investigation

Police rule McNair shootings a murder-suicide - FOX Sports on MSN

Police confirmed that McNair's girlfriend had shot him while Steve was sleeping with residue found on the body by medical study.

On Sirius NFL minutes ago in a breaking news conference, the authorities have info regarding the mental state of Steve's girlfriend Sahel, which was stated to be 'out of control' and that she accused him days before of cheating on him with another girl and she was also having problems in making payments for an Escalade that she and Steve had in her name.

Sounds something like someone who needed help, having a nervous breakdown or mental wipeout and resulting in a horrible tragedy.

It's terrible when mental illness results in such tragedies....often the sufferer can be helped through medicine and counseling. So sad...

The weird thing about this all is how the medical examiner confirmed that Sahel first shot McNair in the right temple,Then proceded to shoot him twice in the chest and then went to his left temple and shot the 4th bullet into him there - Thats more disturbing then I thought originally and she had to have been totally wacked out or drugged up if this is true to kill someone like this,He was probably dead the moment the first bullet entered his right temple and probably not necessary to enter more bullets in a sadistic way like that.

I shudder in disbelief at this report,Steve apparently died like an animal at a slaughterhouse, simply mind numbing to have this happen to a human being.

It doesn't sound sadistic at all, all four shots clearly should have been fatal and it sounds like she didn't want him to suffer, but did want to make sure he was dead. What it may say about her emotional state is for some of our forensic psychiatry experts here to say, but it surely isn't sadism.

That absolutely sucks, sucks, sucks. Whether or not McNair was stringing her along, it was still a senseless act on her part.

The report goes on to say that after shooting McNair, she sat down on the couch intending that, when she shot herself, her body would fall alongside his, with her head resting on him. However, she fell over and slid down onto the floor, covering the firearm as she fell.

She had expressed a lot of fears and anxiety in the days before this murder, as her friends and associates related to investigators.

Very, very sad for all concerned.

Can't these people just kill themselves? Lordy...This sounds like a Lifetime movie in the making.

McNair bears some responsibility for what happened to him via getting INVOLVED with someone this unstable. He just made a stupid choice -- a 36-year-old man, still married, hooking up with a 20-year-old minor two years out of high school. He didn't "ask" to be murdered, but I'll bet he had some idea this girl didn't have both feet on the ground. If he didn't, he was thinking with the wrong head.
