I like the Quotes by Sanchez if he lands on the right team I could route for him. Funny the way he called out Cassel for having more starts
I'm thinking he may not be laughing after Cassel signs his next contract.

FYI, we've got linebackers talking today, including some of these guys, so the blog will be pretty busy. Stay tuned.

I think we'll see the long-term ramifications of Stafford's decision not to throw if Sanchez and Freeman have great workouts. I just don't get the sense that Stafford is a dead solid lock to me the first quarterback taken. Don't know--I could we way off, but if one of those guys comes in and blows people away, I think there will be some serious debate about who the first quarterback taken will be. (Plus, there is genuine buzz around here about Sanchez. There seems to be a consensus that his stock is rising.) Not saying Stafford will engage in a Brady Quinn-like freefall in April, but the possibility remains that with a fluid market for quarterbacks (and no one knowing what's going to happen with Cassel) he might be doing himself more harm than good.

While Ingram’s assessment that Belichick likes Florida athletes is a good one, it got us to thinking: How many of them have actually succeeded in New England’s system? The Patriots have certainly brought in more than their fare share of ex-Gators the last few seasons, particularly in 2006. That year, New England drafted two Gators, wide receiver Chad Jackson (second round) and linebacker Jeremy Mincey (sixth round). They also picked up cornerback Vernell Brown, offensive tackle Randy Hand, safety Jarvis Herring and wide receiver Kelvin Kight that same year as undrafted free agents, as well as veteran wide receivers Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney.
However, less than three years later, only Gaffney is still with the team.
Just a quick heads up -- ex-Pats GM Scott Pioli is scheduled to speak with the media at 2:30 p.m. We'll have more from him as soon as it is done.
