This is a good move, kinda like a "bridge" personnel manager for Caserio.. BB speaks glowingly of him.

in NFL in drafting players who remain in the NFL.

I don't know much about Reese, but I'll take your word for it that this is a good hire.

Also, he drafted three ROYs: Eddie George, Javon Kearse, and Vince Young.

he is pretty tight with BB from what i have read in the past.just him lobbying for a job when savage was still the gm was not very good and the fact that he worked for ESPN could mean he might give them some accessibility as a source

question: is this a promotion/change in responsibilities for nick caserio as replacement for pioli or they just emphasized his already existing role ?

One other clarification, from Patriots.com:

Quote:
Nick Caserio is in his second season as the Patriots' director of player personnel in 2009. He is entering his ninth season with the Patriots and his ninth in the NFL. Caserio has been with the Patriots organization since 2001 and has served in a number of roles in the personnel department and on the coaching staff.
Apparently they are, at least for the moment, leaving the VPPP position empty.
