I would hope as soon as the presser is over because than he wont be talking about both in those contexts anymore and it fixes itself. Its only weird as you are talking about leaving one place for the other. Next time they get in front of the firing squads they likely wont be asking much about the Patriots and their will be no confusion.
I would hope so if he wants to be successful. I had manager who was an external hire who used "we" to refer to his old company several months into the job as in "thats not how WE did things at....." He only last about 6 months and everyone hated him and was happy when he left.
