RE THe stadium: I'm pretty sure that stadium was constructed around the same time and designed by the same architect...I can't remember exactly, but I've been under that impression for all these years.

yes, i remember that being talked about back then how similar they were. i think Rich Stadium was finished the follwing year, and built much better.

But Arrowhead topped them both, built in 1971, its still terrific today.

Yeah..I agree with you...

I'm living in NC and went to the Pats/Panthers game the year after we beat them in the SB...and I gotta tell ya..that stadium is LOUD...I was shocked.

Ralph Wilson Stadium is much, much larger than either Foxboro stadium or Gillette. Their current capacity is 73,967 and it was originally 80k. They actually have real seats too.

The similarities are both stadiums were closer to the field than the current Gillette which gives more sideline space between the field and the stands. Also, both stadiums had their "cheap" seats far closer to the field. My season tickets were in the 300 section in the old Foxboro stadium. The seats that are the same distance from the field today are the club seats. If I had the same seats in Gilette, not only would I be behind the club seats, but also above to levels of luxary boxes. That is a big reason why Gillette is far quieter than Foxboro Stadium was. The fans are far away from the field.

Buffalo's Stadium was just a little nicer than Our Old Stadium but the crowds were very similar. The passion in Buffalo was always good. There are many similarities.

They were. They were built by the same company, but I think a bit more was spent on, then, Rich Stadium and its since been renovated and improved as well.

I am good friends with a Buffalo fan and their ticket prices are much lower than ours. Based on my conversations with her I think the game day experience there is much like the old Foxboro Stadium experience. The new stadium here is obviously much nicer, but there are things I miss about the old place. In fact quite a bit.
