Maroney, on the other hand, has had 2 100+ carry seasons in his first two seasons in New England, and he's averaged better than 4 ypc both seasons.
Good stuff. It will be interesting to see how they compare this year if they get similar numbers of carries behind the same offensive line.

Never ceases to amaze me, guy has one good game and all the sudden he's a pro bowler.

I like him too, but come on.

All the Maroney bashers have said nothing about Morris who was even worse, 8 carries for zero yards. The Jets defensive front is much improved and their strategy was to stop the run and make Cassel beat them, expect this strategy every week.

This is precisely the reason why LaMont did better than Maroney. Lawrence needs the pass to set up his runs, Jordan runs it down your throat when its obvious you are running.

Also, everyone seems to like to say that Maroney has "break away speed", and he is fast, and blah, blah. I really don't care what he can do, I just wanna see him do it! Tom Brady can throw 60 yard bombs to just about any skill level receiver. He can, and he does. Maroney can do amazing things, but does he do them more than a few times a year? Hell, Michael Vick has the athletic ability to do just about anything. But yet he sucked as a QB.

You do realize that your argument is 180 degrees out of phase, right?
