Default Does Belichick have a crystal ball?

First of all, I am sick to my stomach. I hope TB is OK for his as well as our sake. Given that, how odd is it that Matt Cassell got almost all the reps this preseason, nevermind that the PATS kept 4 RB's. Almost seems like BB saw the future....

I was just wondering about the whole Public Relations spin that we are being handed.

Bear with me here, if Tom was to announce his retirement, the screams would be heard to the Golf Courses in Scotland that he & his dad play on. (SI interview, "Tom, ready for camp?" "I would rather play golf with my dad.")

So if new daddy Tom, wanted to chill with baby boy, and pretty girlfriend, what would BB & Bob Kraft do, say ok. lets announce it. RIGHT
1) Tom didn't work out off season @ Gillette, 1st time in 10 yrs
2) Stated many times, its just football
3) Had a Career high last year, sans ring, of course, but he has those anyway
4) This years schedule is PERFECT to train Cassell on
5) He leaves the 1st game with a knee injury, leaving his trainee Cassell as a Hero to pick up Superman's cape, when it is tossed to the ground.
6) interviews with the vets after, just don't add up!

I don't know, but I hope we are seeing BB greatest PR blitz of all.

I've been saying for a while he'll retire early. But he'll also be pissed about this and come back for a few more years, I bet.

I'm surprised this post wasn't also about drafting a QB in the third round.

don't you wish now that all last year instead of trying to run up the score on opponents that Bill actually let Cassel get into a game?

maybe bill should have looked into his crystal ball last year instead of trying to pad brady's stats.

The idea last year was that, with three new starting receivers, playing full games would give the passing offense needed experience for the playoff run. Not to "pad Brady's stats."

I'm not sure garbage time is real great for a QB... look at Jim Sorgi in Indy. He's played in lots of 4th quarter blowouts and 16th game intentional losses, but he probably never got the quality of reps he needed for real experience until he ran with the #1s in preseason this year.

EDIT: Welcome to the board newbie.
