Default It's time for Ty Law

Yeah, he's way past his prime. So was Junior Seau, but he shored up a weakness a year ago. Wheatley and Willhite show a lot of promise, but are they ready for prime time in Wk1? Not even Ty was ready to be a starter Wk 1 way back when. Either was Assante.

Sign Ty as a 1-yr bridge to get the rookies ready.

What's the verdict on this board? Thumbs up on Ty in '08 or thumbs down?

I get the (bad) feeling we'll see Hank Poteat back in a Pats uniform before Law....but then again I thought some guy named Fernaaandoooo was going to be starting so what he heck do I know

I'm on the fence on this one. In one hand Ty brings experience and could most likely do a respectable job. OTOH he's got an ME mentality and is getting up there in years.....

I second that motion. With Law on the roster we won 3 SB's in 4 years. Without him we're now 0 for 3. It's time we put the law back in our secondary.

Come on Ty....Make it happen. I've still got your jersey damnit.

Why overspend on a guy that can barely cover a #3 receiver?

These Ty Law threads are a joke. If Belichick had extra $$$ to spend I'm sure he'd make
a trade for a young OL player right about now which would help this team way more than Ty freaking Law.

Last I heard Law was the size of a MLB.

Just sign him to a 24 hour contract so he can retire as a Patriot and we can get on with the season.

There is nothing that Ty Law can do here that can't be done by any other CB we currently have. He was an asset in the past, and he will always be a great player in memory. But it is just that, a memory.

Besides that, his family apparently has an insatiable appetite, and there is simply not enough money in New England's coffers to adequately feed them these days. At least, according to 24's own comments when he left here.

I hope he retires as a Patriot. Other than that, I hope to never see him in a Patriots' uniform again.
