My god
It's a story that was plastered on every single sports channel and newspaper in the entire country today, are you really that surprised that it got 15 pages of replies on a Patriots related forum?

Any time you have a player who continues to partake in any type of semi-risky behavior more than once while they are recovering from injuries, there are people who are going to feel some concern. You may not be one of those people, and I get that, but I'm not sure how "surprised" you should feel either.

Your thoughts are understood, and I actually agree with you about some of the stuff, but the majority of fans are going to wonder why the hell you'd do this again. They are also going to wonder how smart he is, and how mature. It's just part of being in the limelight that comes with the territory.

My god
And not to nitpick due to the fact that we have a difference of opinions on this topic, but you can clearly see the arm and cast itself bounce right off of the stage when he falls, so it's not like the arm wasn't in the picture at all like you are saying.

I don't actually even know what the big disagreement is about? Those who are concerned have that right, just as you have the right to ignore those concerns, but wrestling and bouncing your 2x broken arm in a cast off of the stage while wrestling is obviously not going to be viewed as "smart" or mature behavior by the high majority of halfway intelligent people.

Now if you're making a case that the story is somewhat overblown, then I would agree with you, just as I would about his post-SB dancing and time spent with a porn star. Those things have no bearing on his potential career. Continuing to engage in risky behavior during recovery periods however, does.

He wasn't doing anything different than he did last year after the SB loss. He is a mini celebrity so people constantly follow him around and take his picture.. This is just who he is and I think people are getting way carried away with just how fragile they think this guy is... he is a fricken VIKING, hes the type of guy thousands of years ago that would come off of a ship and everyone in the village would turn the other way and run for their life... This is not some joe schmoe who sits on his couch drinking beers, he is a physical specimen and that controlled fall of his was a 0.3 on a scale of 1 to 10 as far as how much force he was using.. and it was on the healthy side of his body, his other arm bounced on the floor from having it stretched out, but hes in a thick, rock hard cast.. you can't even feel something like that when you're in a cast.. i think most anyone who has experienced a broken arm before would agree with that.

I was expecting like an off the top rope WWE move or something.. i can't believe he just grabbed his friend and then control fell backwards onto him... its literally nothing. This is the type of "news" that sports writers have to work with during an offseason i guess.. its pretty sad that they even took time to write this article, but I guess I see why they do... because the herd of cattle come running to tear it off the shelves to read every ridiculous article that they write.

Just saw the video for the first time...

THAT is what people were making a big fuss about? Seriously? The way people were talking about it, I was expecting a 15 foot backflip body slam. For cripes sakes, you might as well wrap him in a bubble and tell him he is never allowed to sit down for the amount of movement and risk he put in it.

He's what, 24? Prime of his life millionaire with the personality to match. He's allowed to enjoy himself. Dancing is not an unnecessary risk to his career.

I mean once it gets to the summer and we're hearing he isn't working out and is out partying instead then I might be a bit disappointed. But it's freaking february 5th. He just spent 4 months getting his body viciously beat by 300 pound roided up men.

Give him a freaking break.

I wouldve thought Patriots negotiators put in some stipulations in Gronks new contract about taking up dangerous sports, etc..

23 year old "Fricken Vikings" don't snap bones blocking at the line on a "fricken kick". (pssst, overuse of 'roids can cause bones to become brittle, just sayin')
Mr. Physical Specimen can't stay on the field during the most important time of the year.
Not some joe schmoe is making 50 million dollars from the NE Patriots and is currently under medical supervision by his 50 million dollar employer for his TWICE BROKEN ARM left arm. You know, that same arm that was in the black cast he was wrestling with on stage in Vegas. Schmoe also has a history of back surgery. Only a matter of time before that flares up.
Along with the beers and those "protein shakes" of his perhaps Gronk also needs to stop making a fool of himself and actually become a man and a professional.
Sorry but Gronk's inability to stay on the field has cost this team championship hardware.
I don't find Gronk's personna cute and cuddly at this point. The novelty of Gronk is OVER. He's showing himself to be quite immature and an outright moron who's heading in one of two career directions. Meet the next Kellen Winslow or a future spokesman for Planet Fitness.

From the video's written caption: .. when the superstar tight end BODY SLAMMED his friend on stage at a Las Vegas nightclub ... landing hard on his broken forearm ... and TMZ has the footage.

Regardless, evidence anecdotal and otherwise is mounting that Gronk does not hold his booze well. Intervention at some level might be wise.
I suggest you go back and look because the LEFT ARM disappears behind people, you can't see what it does. So you have no idea if he landed hard on his arm or if it was just TMZ sensationalizing a piece. I mean, they NEVER do that and they ALWAYS tell it like it is...

BTW, that wasn't a body slam. That move is a DDT. Huge difference between the two. Do yourself (and everyone else) a favor and stop with the tabloid nonsense.

The only evidence that I see mounting is that you are the Gossip queen of this board. You are so quick to damn other people, yet your **** stinks just as much as everyone elses.. If not more...

Why would I be kidding. It's plain as day what wrestling move that Gronk did.

It's called a DDT. He has his right arm around his friend's head. Gronk fall's backwards. He left arm disappears behind at least 2 people so you can't see if it actually HIT the stage or not. He also get's right back up, no worse for wear.
A Body Slam entails LIFTING the opponents body up, over your head, and then dropping them onto their back.

This is clearly a case of Tunescribe the Town Crier trying to make this out to be more than it is. Just as TMZ is doing.
