The Steelers got Wallace in the 3rd round and Brown in the 6th. Maybe Daboll helps. (Although whatever job he did this week is not exactly a good start)
risk drafting a WR which is one of the hardest positions to draft in the NFL or take mike wallace who you know what you are going to get...should be an easy decision...

Yeah, a one-dimensional speed WR who has an inflated sense of self-worth and was less productive than Lloyd this season.

If Welker walks, you need to replace him in FA. The Pats have a very sorry track record in drafting WRs recently.

Mike Wallace isn't the answer. Greg Jennings is though.

Spending over half of the Pats' cap room on a guy that has missed 11 of his last 32 games, is turning 30 early next season, and that intends to maximize his contract this offseason?

So we now have people that want a WR that just big, just fast, or both big and fast. Am I the only person who just wants a WR who isn't small, isn't slow, and is really good at football?

I think Belichick might make a move for Percy. I know he was high on him when he came out of college and he's a very versatile player. Him or sign Bowe. Wallace dropped a lot of balls this year and really doesn't impress me. And Greg, ehhhhh too much cash for someone who has been injury prone lately and is close to 30

Pats have not drafted a good receiver since, Branch? I don't recall one wide out they drafted in the past 8 years that was good.

As for Welker, he is a huge part of the offense. Despite his dropped passes he is durable which is more than you can say for Hernandez and Gronk who have been injured the past two seasons.

Not sure it is easy to replace his production as people think. I would not break the bank for him though. He is a year older and he regularly drops passes. If some team wants to over pay for him let him walk.

The layer of the offense that is missing is a deep threat. You do not fix it by weakening your intermediate inside strength . Wes usually pulls the No1 CB of the other team. By adding a WR on the outside you will make a team choose who to cover if that guy is productive. which means 1 of the 2 will always be productive.

for a team that takes advantages of matchup i be shocked it they decide to go down the road of loosing one of there key matchup.

hate to say this , moving forward they should plan for either gronk or hernandaz being out at all times.

years before brady will go 5 wides and shot gun. Now we do not even have 5 quality guys.
hernandaz , lloyd and wes. that is all . Its makes defending them easier with 2 stiffs running around.
