Sunday Patriots Headlines

A rainy Sunday back here in New England, and a quiet day news-wise.  However, after doing some digging, here are today's Patriots headlines from around the internet.

These first two headlines expand more on Brady's charity event from this week:

Brady spins wheels - Boston Globe

Tom Brady is a Best Buddy - Faded Youth

It's nice to see a Brady headline that wasn't contract related, with the Globe article being a terrific in-depth look at a charity he's been involved with for a long time.

Speedster Tate Hopes to Blow Coaches Away - NESN

The above article was written by Jeff Howe of NESN, and it's a good look at the wide receiver position.  Brandon Tate seems to be pretty confident heading into this year, and hopefully the flashes of brilliance we saw last year carry over when he gets back on the field this season.

"I'm focusing on really just trying to compete for a job and get on the field," Tate said. "Hopefully, I can come out here, compete every day, get better and better, and the coaches realize it."

Patriots Trail Jets in Madden '11 - NESN

Wheatley, Mayo Looking to Erase Mental Errors - NESN

Maroney Hoping to Curb Fumble Issue - NESN

The above piece looks at not only Maroney, but also looks at the rest of the runningbacks.   Maroney said in the article that he's hoping for a better season with New England in 2010.

"I still feel I had a little ways to go last year, but I felt like I was closer than the years before. I always try to improve on prior years. Last year was cool, so now I just want to get better."

Some non-Pats news from our friends in the AFC East that I thought were pretty interesting:

Dolphins Owner Ross talks big about team, QB - ESPN

Has Dolphins Owner Ross Lost His Mind? - Miami Dolphins

NYU Fat-Loss Doctor Fired - New York Post

The above link is interesting because it involves the same doctor that operated on Rex Ryan, who had lap-band surgery back in March.

NJ Sets Record Straight on 2014 Super Bowl - STL Today

Bills' message to Lynch should be simple: Hit the road - GoErie.com

Brohm Quarterbacks First Team - ProFootball Talk

That's it for today.  Hope everyone has a good day, and we'll see you tomorrow.
