The New England Patriots traveled to Buffalo for their first meeting against the Bills with an opportunity to hold onto first place in the AFC heading into their bye week.
Heading into the game, the weather elements were expected to play a big role as windy conditions with gusts over 50mph were expected to cause havoc on the passing game for both teams.

In the first quarter, the Patriots struck first when running back Damien Harris broke loose for a 64 yard touchdown run for the game’s first points.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: Damien Harris' 64-yard TD was the longest rushing TD for the Patriots since 1997 (Curtis Martin 70-yarder).

Leading 8-0 following a two-point conversion, a miscue on a punt return by N’Keal Harry gave the Bills the ball in the red zone for the first time and Josh Allen capitalized on the mistake with a 14 yard touchdown toss to Gabriel Davis to bring the home team within one at 8-7 after a quarter.

Looking for points back, kicker Nick Folk showed no fear of the windy conditions as the Patriots extended their lead up to four following this field goal in the second quarter.

Heading into the locker room at halftime the Patriots found themselves leading the Bills 11-7 despite just a single passing attempt by Mac Jones and every other offensive play a run.
Via @EliasSports: The Patriots have the fewest first-half passing attempts (1) by a team since at least 1978.

During the third quarter, the Bills trimmed their deficit to one, but the Patriot’s defense continued to stifle the Josh Allen-led offense.

With one quarter remaining, the Patriots kept pounding the football on the ground as Mac Jones added just two more pass attempts the rest of the way.
The Bills defense remained unable to find an answer despite knowing the Patriots game plan.
Demoralizing 😶

Most demoralizing feeling on defense…they know they’re gonna run it, you know they’re gonna run it and you STILL can’t stop it.

Same folks in disbelief about how what the Patriots are doing to the Bills are the same ones that said the Patriots LIII 13-3 Super Bowl win was boring. 😂 Man this is real football. If you can’t get Thru 9on7 you ain’t worth keeping on the roster!!! #ForeverNE

A Nick Folk 34 yard field Goal goal extended the Patriots lead to four at 14-10 while the Bills fell victim to the wind on their own attempt a drive later.

Despite all of the Bills struggles on this night, with two minutes remaining in the game, they had a chance to score the go-ahead touchdown but were once again denied by the Patriots defense to seal the road victory.

The Patriots would defeat the Bills by a final score of 14-10 to extend their winning streak to seven while remaining undefeated on the road in 2021 and ensuring the top playoff seed in the AFC belongs to them.
A bye week is next for the Patriots before a trip to Indianapolis to take on the Colts on December 18th.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: The Patriots had a rush attempt on 32 consecutive offensive plays from 0:43 in the 1st quarter to 7:24 in the 4th (excluding punts, field goals, kickoffs, and penalties). That's the longest streak of rushes by a team in a game over the last 40 seasons.

Sometimes Belichick would tell the offense we weren’t throwing until we get _______ first downs. So you receivers better block if you want to catch a pass today.
Never heard him say we aren’t throwing, the entire game! Lol
