Drake Maye has already had a relatively busy offseason after getting engaged, and then finding out he was added to the Pro Bowl roster.

While he’s been away from Foxboro, the team obviously added a new head coach in Mike Vrabel and then recently hired new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, which certainly resets everything for the now-former-rookie out of North Carolina.

Maye spent Thursday night competing in the quarterback challenge ahead of Sunday’s flag football game down in Orlando and said during an appearance on Sirius XM radio Thursday he’s excited to get to work with his new offensive coordinator when he returns to New England.

“Coach McDaniels, obviously what he’s done (with the Patriots) and the success he’s had, I’m fortunate to be able to have a guy come in who has done it at a high level and learn from him coaching one of the best ever — the best ever in my opinion, Tom,” said Maye via NBC Sports Boston’s Nick Goss.

“So I have a great chance to go back — all those years of film he has in the little database, it’s all their play-calls, all Coach McDaniels’ stuff and what he did with Tom. So it’s fortunate for me to go back and study it up and get ready for this next season.”

Maye also did a promo with the Patriots trying to encourage people to watch Sunday’s Pro Bowl, which will be broadcast on Sunday, February 2nd beginning at 3pm ET on ESPN and NFL+.  For those either in Florida or planning to head down to Orlando, plenty of tickets are still available starting at just $27.
