On Thursday night all 32 NFL teams had their 2022 schedules officially released and the Patriots brought an old friend out of retirement to go through the upcoming games beginning later this fall.

Former team “Director of Football Research”, Ernie Adams made an appearance to announce all of the Patriots’ opponents, dates & times in a special video alongside some of his own analysis.

Take a look for yourself at this terrific piece of content from the Patriots media team below.

Prior to the start of the 2021 season, the Patriots revealed Adams would be retiring from his full-time position within the franchise after 20 seasons of work.

“It’s been incredible,” Adams said of his career in the NFL. “If you told me when we started [here in New England] that it’d be 21 seasons with nine Super Bowls, I’m not sure I would have believed you, but we just grinded it out one day at a time and that’s what it’s been. You know, I tell people I have a really hard life. I live in the place I want to live and well, winning a lot of football games, it’s hard to beat that.”

While the majority of just what Adams did under his job title remains a mystery outside the Gillette Stadium walls, the legend of “Pink Stripes” continues to live on.
