Patriots Hall Of Fame Committee Reveals Its Nominees For The Class of 2022
Greg M. Cooper - USA TODAY Sports
For the first time in three years, the New England Patriots Hall of Fame Committee formally met in person on Wednesday to determine a list of nominees for the Class of 2022.
What resulted from the meeting was a list of seven former players and two head coaches.
The players nominated consisted of Julius Adams, John Smith, Lawyer Milloy Mike Vrabel, Vince Wilfork, Logan Mankins, and Wes Welker. While head coaches Chuck Fairbanks and Bill Parcells also gained nominations.
Milloy and Smith are the newcomers to the nomination list, as all others have previously been finalists at different points.
Every year, the Patriots Hall of Fame Committee, which is comprised of local media and team staff members, will narrow down the nomination list to three finalists over the coming days and an online fan vote between the three will decide the newest member.
The induction ceremony for the winner of the 2022 fan vote will occur in August at a later announced date.
The Patriots Hall of Fame nomination committee met today in the Optum Lounge @GilletteStadium to nominate, discuss, debate and vote for this year’s #TheHall finalists. The fans will select the inductee from among three finalists. Who would be your 3? (Out of football 4 years).
