Linebacker Kyle Van Noy is back with the New England Patriots after a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins.

Van Noy signed a two-year $13.2 million contract with the Patriots after his rather surprising release from the Dolphins one year into a four year contract.

Despite battling a hip injury most of the year, Van Noy was productive for the Dolphins last season. In 14 games, Van Noy logged 69 total tackles, six sacks, 10 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries. He was named a team captain prior to the season and earned an AFC Defensive Player of the Week award for his eight-tackle, three-sack performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13.

On Friday, Van Noy joined the “Pat McAfee Show” to talk about his decision to return to Foxborough, his time in Miami, and what his expectations are heading into 2021.
