The always social media savy Julian Edelman was at it again this week, this time joining in on the fun the internet has been having with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
During Wednesdays Presidential inauguration, Sanders was seen sitting alone at the U.S. Capitol bundled up from the cold so naturally the internet began placing his image from that day in unusual or memorable places via photoshop.
On Thursday, Edelman put Sanders on the Patriots bench during Super Bowl LIII next to himself and Tom Brady.
“I am once again asking you to read the cover 2 zone defense,” Edelman wrote in a caption witty caption referencing yet another Sanders meme.
As for Edelman’s future in football, still no news on his plans for next season and beyond. He remains under contract with the Patriots for one more year.
