The New England Patriots offseason may be in full swing, but Julian Edelman’s love and support towards Boston’s other professional sports teams continues.
On Instagram Wednesday, Edelman shared his excitement for the start of hockey season with a photoshopped image of himself decked out in a Boston Bruins uniform, missing tooth and all.
“364 days until hockey tryouts, gotta toughen up…#GoBs”, Edelman wrote quoting the Adam Sandler film “Happy Gilmore”.
The Bruins open up their season against the New Jersey Devils in Newark.
Over the past few seasons, Edelman has become a vocal and public fan of the Bruins, becoming a banner captain during the teams run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2019 and even wore a jersey to practice.
At least for now, this should end any speculation of Edelman looking to retire or leave New England.
