Two of Boston’s most well-known sports athletes shared a moment of appreciation and respect for each other this week.
Over their Instagram stories Tuesday, Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum shared photos of swapped jerseys they received from each other alongside personalized messages accompanying their autographs.
“To JT Keep being great. Big fan of yours!” Gilmore wrote within his jersey numbers.
“‘Find Gilmore and go somewhere else.’ Big time. Keep being great bro!” Tatum wrote in his jersey.

Both athletes have become rising stars in New England, with Gilmore earning Defensive Player of the Year honors last season and a Super Bowl title the year before. Meanwhile Tatum earned his first NBA All Star team selection this past season and is a favorite to win the league’s MVP award this upcoming year.
