Heading into week seven of the 2003 season, the New England Patriots were neck and neck with the Miami Dolphins for first place in the AFC East.
At the time, the Patriots had lost six straight in Miami and appeared headed to another loss until Richard Seymour blocked a 35-yard field goal by Olindo Mare at the two-minute warning and the game would go to overtime tied at 13.
In overtime, the Dolphins again had a chance to win with a field goal, but Mare missed from 35 for a second time after failing to plant his foot on the infield dirt, which existed on the Miami field due to the Florida Marlins playing in the World Series at the same time.
The Dolphins would force a Patriots punt on the ensuing possession, but a Tedy Bruschi hit on quarterback Jay Fiedler would force a Tyrone Poole interception to give Brady the ball back.
Sitting at their own 18-yard line, Brady tossed one 82 yards deep to Troy Brown for the walk off winner.
Brown finished with six catches for 131 yards and the touchdown.
With the come from behind win, quarterback Tom Brady earned his first career with in Miami as the Patriots took over first place in the division at 5-2 and won their third of a then NFL record 21 games in a row.
Relive some of the best sights and sounds from the stunning victory on the anniversary this week.
