Year one in the NFL was a challenge for Patriots second-year wideouts N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers.
Harry missed half of the 2019 season dealing with an ankle injury he sustained in training camp while Meyers struggled to build chemistry with Tom Brady over the course of the year.
With Brady off to Tampa Bay and a new quarterback tossing them the ball this upcoming season, both young receivers appear ready for a fresh start and turn the page.
“Ain’t no looking back, 2 youngins applying all pressure”, Harry wrote below a photo of himself alongside Meyers from last season.
In seven 2019 regular season games, Harry had 12 receptions for 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Meyers hauled in 26 receptions for 359 yards and no scores.
Whether it’s Cam Newton or Jarrett Stidham leading the way this fall, they’ll need a redeeming boost from these two young wideouts alongside veterans Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu if the Patriots hope to get back to the playoffs for a 12th consecutive season.
Harry has worked out with Newton recently and has been training independently according to his Instagram.
Once again, there appears to be no shortage of motivation as the 2020 Patriots approach training camp.
